Let us examine the lacrimal bone (os lacrimale). It takes part in the formation of the medial wall of the orbit.

On the lateral surface of the bone there is the posterior lacrimal crest (crista lacrimalis posterior).

From below, it ends with the lacrimal hamulus (hamulus lacrimalis).

There is a lacrimal groove (sulcus lacrimalis) in front of the crest.

Together with the lacrimal groove of the maxilla, it forms the fossa for the lacrimal sac (fossa sacci lacrimalis), where the lacrimal sac is located.
